Description
Gandi Chemical Solutions supplies Hydrochloric Acid 32-33% (CAS 7647-01-0) to mines, concentrators and mineral processing plants. It is supplied as technical grade. Packaging: 28kg, 252kg, 1200kg (drum cost refundable). Priced by quotation, with a current safety data sheet on every consignment.
This hydrochloric acid solution runs 30 to 33 percent HCl by mass, putting it solidly in the technical grade used across steel pickling, pH neutralization, ore processing, and general chemical manufacturing. It’s a clear to pale yellow liquid with the sharp, fume-forming character typical of concentrated HCl, so it needs sealed, corrosion-resistant containers and good ventilation wherever it’s handled. GCS supplies it in 28kg containers for smaller jobs and scales up to 252kg and 1200kg for bulk consumers, with drum deposits refunded on return.

Specification and grade
Technical-grade hydrochloric acid at 30.0–33.0% m/m HCl, minimum 31% by mass, CAS 7647-01-0. Clear to slightly yellowish liquid, density 1.1605 g/cm³. UN 1789, transport class 8. The slight yellow tint comes from trace iron and does not affect performance in most industrial duties.
Handling and storage
Signal word Danger: H290 corrosive to metals, H314 severe skin burns and eye damage, H335 may cause respiratory irritation. It fumes — the vapour above the liquid is the hazard people underestimate, and it will corrode unprotected steelwork across the room. Store in a ventilated bunded area in HDPE, FRP or rubber-lined tanks, well away from bases, oxidisers and cyanides. Full face protection and an acid suit for decanting.
Packaging and supply
Available in 28kg, 252kg and 1200kg containers; the drum deposit is refundable on return. Confirm your offloading coupling type in writing when you order bulk — mismatched fittings are the most common reason a delivery stands waiting. Concentrations between 10% and 37%, and 25L, 200L or 1000L packs, are quoted on request — say which strength the process needs and it is priced against that.

Common questions
Why is the acid slightly yellow rather than colourless?
Trace iron picked up in manufacture or storage. At technical grade this is normal and does not affect regeneration, pickling or pH duty. If your process is colour-sensitive or you need low iron, ask for a specification with an iron limit and we will quote accordingly.
Can it be stored in a steel tank?
No. Hydrochloric acid attacks carbon steel and stainless alike. Use HDPE, FRP or rubber-lined vessels, with PVC or PP lines and diaphragm pumps rated for the duty.
What has to be in place before a bulk delivery?
A bunded area sized for the tank, a confirmed offloading coupling, ventilation, a working eyewash and safety shower, and someone trained to receive it. We ask for those to be confirmed before scheduling a tanker.
